ARoS Triennial nominated for a Global Fine Art Award
The ARoS Triennial The Garden – End of Times, Beginning of Times has been nominated for a Global Fine Art Award (GFAA) in the category Best Public Art / Exhibition or Installation. Nominations were disclosed at an event in London this morning.
- We’re very proud to be among the finalists. The nomination is proof that ARoS Triennial has firmly put ARoS on the map. Moreover, it gives a seal of approval to the exhibition and to ARoS’ artistic standards, generally, says Erlend G. Høyersten, museum director, ARoS.
A total of 85 exhibitions are nominated in 13 different categories. Winners will be disclosed at an award ceremony in New York in March 2018. The 85 nominated finalists for the Global Fine Art Award 2017 were selected from more than 2000 exhibitions.
The ARoS Triennial, which took place between April and October 2017, attracted more than 860,000 visitors and has enjoyed extensive international media coverage, including CNN Style, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, Vogue, and the German ZDF. Similarly, the exhibition has been featured in art journals such as Frieze, The Art Newspaper, and Monopol.
